In about two weeks, we’ll be voting in midterm elections. I’m nervous. I think every liberal and progressive is nervous. We all know why we’re concerned. Our people don’t vote. Democrats do NOT vote in midterm elections, and sadly, the clowns elected in these midterm elections often have the biggest impact on women’s lives.
Society has tried to make feminism a dirty word. Men (and some women, too) have tried to portray feminists as domineering, controlling, screaming, hairy THINGS. Not people. Not women. THINGS. If you’re a woman and not a feminist, you need to ask yourself some hard questions. In fact, you can start right now.
In less than four minutes, YouTube sensation Laci Green explains the 50+ reasons why she’s a feminist. I don’t know how anyone who watches this short video can remain unconvinced of the struggle of women.
We have two weeks. Let’s see how many young women (or young men who support young women) we can get to watch this video. We need our votes, now more than ever. If women will vote, we will win these elections. It’s that simple.
