What does all of this data mean? While they’re as concerned about the economy as previous generations have been, Millennials differ on social issues. All across the political spectrum, young adults are leaning increasingly left on most issues. Out of those who identify as Republicans, only six percent do so because of “traditional values.” The GOP best start focusing less on uteri and gays and more on the economy, privacy, and small government. That’s what these young people care about.

We’re always going to have Republicans in this country, most likely, but the hard right is going to lose its war. The crazies are going to die off and be replaced with a more logical generation.
