Michael Brown was killed earlier this month by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, MO. Much has been hidden surrounding the actual incident at hand. However, a new audio recording was just released that allegedly captures the gun shots that struck and killed Mr. Brown.

We can hear around six shots being fired, a pause, and then a few more. (I counted 10 shots total, but I could be wrong.) This tape was released by a man who was recording a conversation with a friend when the shots were fired. He has now come forward with the audio but is choosing to remain anonymous at the moment.

Of course this audio is quote troubling. Actually hearing how many shots were fired into the body and the head of Michael Brown makes me cringe. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding this open case, the sound of the shots makes this killing even more real. Of course there are people who have differing views on what this audio could mean for Darren Wilson. The pause in audio could be damning, as if Wilson just wanted to finish Michael Brown off; guarantee that he was dead. However, this could also help support Wilson’s alleged encounter that Michael Brown just would not stop, even after being hit.

If will be very interesting to see if this audio is ultimately verified and how it will be used. With the glacial pace of this “investigation,” there is no telling how long it will take until all of the crucial evidence in this case will be released. I am always interested in?hearing how legal analysts as well as laypeople will interpret this new audio. Thoughts?
