I have made it very clear that I find the entire situation surrounding Michael Brown’s killing to be tragic. I have also spoken out against what seems like deplorable incompetence from the Ferguson Police Department in the days (and week) since. However, I think it is vital to hear every side of a story. Up until this point, we have heard shocking testimony from numerous witnesses, all providing very similar accounts of what happened that fateful day.

Now, a friend going by “Jodie” claims to be friends with Officer Wilson, the man who killed Michael Brown. She called in to “The Dana Show” program to offer what she sees as Mr. Wilson’s side. She claims that the officer did approach Mr. Brown and Mr. Johnson telling them to get out the street. She says that according to Darren, the boys started cursing and then he noticed the cigars. As the officer tried to get out of his vehicle, Mr. Brown allegedly shoved the door violently on him. Wilson tried again to get out but allegedly Michael Brown rushed him, shoved him back in the car, and punched him in the face. “Jodie” goes on to say that there was a struggle for the gun, which includes it pointing at the officer’s hip, before he managed to “shove it away” and the gun went off.

She then says the two boys took off running and taunted the officer verbally, when suddenly, Brown started rushing towards the officer so Mr. Wilson shot him. “Jodie”seems to imply that Darren Wilson believed Michael was “on something”. She claims:

?He really thinks he was on something because he just kept coming. It was unbelievable.? (Jodie)

She says that the final shot was in the forehead about two to three feet away from Mr. Wilson. She also believes that evidence will show Michael Brown was not shot in the back, as some have alleged.

Now we do not know if this “Jodie” person even knows Mr. Wilson much less if she has knowledge of his story detailing what happened that day in Ferguson. However, if we were to believe it, this story would differ greatly from every other witness that has come forward. Dorian Johnson, who was walking with Michael at the time, says that Michael never tried to get the officer’s weapon and that he never assaulted him. Many independent witnesses who did not know Michael Brown personally, have had similar perspectives on what happened that do not line up with this alleged story from Mr. Wilson. They say that while the cop was still in his car, ?Michael was trying to get away but the cop was trying to pull him in. They have also?said that Michael had his hands in the air, surrendering, when the officer continued to fire multiple shots at him. If this is true, Darren Wilson acted criminally because you can never shoot someone who is surrendering. Also, others have alleged that Michael Brown was running away and the officer also shot him then. Again, it is illegal to shoot someone who is unarmed, as we know Michael was, ?when they are?running? away?from you.

These stories are different and it will be very interesting when and if Darren Wilson speaks up for himself. This situation has already been very unnerving considering the lack of details provided the about incident surrounding the killing. The robbery video and security problems in Ferguson have created a lot of distraction away from what many of us are mainly concerned with: justice.

Do you all believe this new story of the encounter between Darren Wilson and Michael Brown? The evidence will help to prove a lot and it is still a wonder why the autopsy and incident reports have not been released. I believe that we all just want answers at this point and whenever we get them, it will have still been incredibly late on the part of the police. Thankfully the feds are stepping in or this fiasco would continue even longer.
