Texas Irony: Anti-Gay Leader Loses Wife To Lesbian Lover

Texas
President of Texas Values Jonathan Saenz.

Progress . . . some people just don’t get it. One such person would be the President of Texas Values, Jonathan Saenz. According to the group’s website, they are dedicated to ?preserving and advancing a culture of family values in the state of Texas.?

On the other hand, there is hope. It seems Mr. Saenz’s wife, Corrine Morris Rodriguez Saenz, finally broke free in 2013 to advance her own culture of family values.

You see, according to rawstory.com, Mrs. Saenz filed for divorce from Jonathan less than six months after starting a relationship with a co-worker in 2011. She reportedly wanted to end her marriage because it was:

?insupportable due to discord or conflict of personalities . . . that destroys the legitimate ends of marriage and prevents reasonable expectations of reconciliation.?

When your husband’s mission in life is to ban same-sex marriage and you just happen to be attracted to the same sex, yes . . . that is a conflict of personalities.

After all, it can’t be easy being stuck with a Texas anti-gay leader, especially when he surrounds himself with the likes of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.

With this winning combination, they are still fighting to ban same-sex marriage in the state of Texas, which was struck down by a federal judge in February of this year.

After years of court hearings regarding the couple’s children, in which Mr. Saenz tried to bar his wife’s girlfriend from even being around them, a judge finally ordered shared custody.

With so many ?real? problems in this country, from riots in Ferguson, Missouri, to our national debt, one would think that our elected officials could get over their own personal homophobic, bigoted, tax-money-wasting issues, and address them.

But no, regulating other people’s lives by trying to pass laws regarding the gender of married people is much more important. And this from the party that wants government out of their personal business.

Oh wait, it’s in the Bible. Let the judgment and intolerance proceed — ust don’t forget the parts regarding divorce, Mr. Saenz.
