5 Shameful Tweets About The American Ebola Patients

Later this afternoon, the first patient infected with Ebola is expected to land in Georgia. The patient will be taken to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for treatment and care. The patient is most likely the first person to have the disease and be treated in our country. The second patient infected with Ebola will arrive later. Those two patients are missionaries Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol. Both were caring for the sick in West Africa when they contracted the disease.

The World Health Organization has reported that there have been 1,323 cases of Ebola in Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone where the outbreak rages. Out of that 1,323, 729 people have died.

The American public expressed many opinions on this matter thanks to social media platforms.?After a quick search through Twitter, it’s clear not many are happy. Some have even managed to blame Obama. Some have even been able to work Ebola into the crisis at the border.

Here are a few of those tweets. I have removed names and screen names.

1. Focus on your own citizens America! – Note: They are American citizens.

So, what do you think Liberal Americans? I understand educated fear. 60-90% of infected individuals have died in the outbreak. There is no cure. All they can do is keep a person stable long enough for their own body to fight the virus. Ebola does a job on the human body. Trust me, I get it.

But?

They are American citizens. They went to help citizens in another country to help fight a deadly disease. They contracted the disease in the process. They are going to Emory. They are right down the road from the CDC. So, we shun them, blame Obama, blame illegals, and begin not an epidemic of disease but an epidemic of fear? I’d rather die from Ebola having been brave with a clean conscious knowing we tried to help two people who showed more bravery than the majority of our population.
