House Republicans Give Boehner The OK For Suing The President

Officially, in case you were still wondering, the Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives are a collective abomination.

Moments ago, the House voted (225-201) to authorize speaker John Boehner to sue President Barack Obama. Not only is suing the sitting President extremely rare, but I am baffled at their idiotic reasons.

Every “no” vote came from a House Republican. And why are they suing? For President Obama’s failure to implement fully Obamacare, also known by its?actual?name, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Specifically, Republicans’ complaints surround Obama’s decision to extend the employer mandate aspect of the law. Obama did this because he was overwhelmed by complains that employers would not be able meet requirements under the new law by 2014.

Never mind the fact that similar tactics were used by former President George W. Bush, and many other administrations. And also let’s ignore all of the possibly impeachable offenses that took place during Bush’s administration. Republicans have constantly espoused ridiculous rhetoric that alludes to Obama being a dictator, a tyrant, and a “President” who is continuously overstepping his boundaries. Again, let’s ignore the fact that Obama has issued less executive orders than Clinton, AND Reagan, and George W. Bush. How dare Obama try to make it easier for employers, you know, the job creators, or those that Republicans pretend to care about?

I have said before and I will say it again, many on the right have never seen Obama as legitimate. From the idiocy surrounding his birth certificate, to the unfounded terms thrown at him like dictator. They have never accepted that Obama won (much less twice) and they have been waiting for anything they can find to try and impeach him.

This is a desperate attempt to plague the Obama presidency by a bunch of do-nothing, incompetent group of politicians that disgrace the positions in which they hold. They cannot compromise to vote on immigration reform, or jobs bills, or gender equality, or LGBT employment discrimination, or highway funding, so on and so forth. But this! This unites them! They should be embarrassed. Period.
