Earlier this week, I mentioned that Sarah Palin has started her own online video site, “The Sarah Palin Channel.” Well, last night, Stephen Colbert announced that he’s the real owner of that channel.

How’s that? Well, the address for Palin’s site is sarahpalinchannel.com. But it seems no one with either Palin’s team or TAPP, the online video company with whom Palin partnered to set up her site, bought up the potentially similar domain names to prevent the inevitable parody sites from cropping up. Colbert took advantage, and announced that his team had managed to snap up thesarahpalinchannel.com.

Check out Colbert’s site here. So far, the only link is to a 2011 clip of Colbert riffing on the Diva’s version of Paul Revere’s ride. Though knowing Colbert, you can bet there will be more to come.
