RWNJ Columnist Wants God To ‘Stop Obama’ (But Knows God Won’t)

Gina Miller’s column stays on course with the other zealotry found on the rightwing BarbWire website, but her July 22 entry at least owns up to something everyone can agree with. God is not going to take out President Obama.

In a call for impeachment, Miller says, ?As painful and infuriating as it is to say, I am certain no one can stop Obama, except the Lord Himself, if only He would.?

While she’s not the first to convey any message that God should remove Obama (even ol? Pat Robertson himself has recently ?prayed? such a request), at least Miller admits this prayer won’t do any good. ?I don’t have much hope that God will intervene,? she acknowledges.

But why is that? Christians have been taught for many centuries that all prayers will be answered. Like the Gospel according to Matthew (21:22) tells us:

?And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.?

See? So all those so-called Christian prayers to kick out the president (who Miller actually takes time to describe as half-black, please note) are supposed to come true! But they’re not going to, she admits.

So why can’t Miller’s prayers come to light? Well, according to the same Bible she claims she follows, that might be because her goals aren’t exactly Christian. Like the Gospel of James (4:3) says:

?Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.?

In other words, Miller, these silly demands to take down the president for the silly reasons you specify are selfish. Impersonal. Uncaring. Ignorant. They even qualify as lust (which, please recall, holds the top rank of all Seven Deadly Sins).

And not only is Miller apparently unaware of the true words of the Bible, but she’s quite ignorant on the subjects of politics and government, too. Right in the title of her article she claims the president is a ?Marxist Fiend.? She applies that term because, as noted in her groaning write-up, Obama protected the rights of homosexuals and allowed welfare expansion.

However, it’s the opposite of those actions that come straight from Karl Marx. Marxian/Marxist philosophies ? in both the economic and sociopolitical varieties of it ? call for restraint on minor segments of a population that don’t match the majority in beliefs and lifestyles, requiring minority groups of all kinds (ethnic and religious) to conform. No benefits are provided to poverty under these philosophies ? only labor of near-forced variety. So who, then, is actually promoting Marxism (and its non-Christian themes)? Miller herself, that’s who.

To finger-point Obama to be the source of her sorrows is silly, too. Laws protecting the LGBT community have been present and under consistent development in the U.S. for over 40 years, and for very Christian reasons (and still have a long way to go). Don’t forget to add in the facts that the number of welfare and food stamp recipients more than doubled during Bush’s presidency, gaining more enrollment in his last two years alone than the number added under Obama, and that total welfare spending has actually decreased, too. So not only is she Marxist, but Miller’s a finger-pointin? blame-gamer, too.

Pointing out her ignorance might not seem very kind or Christian, but it’s still a compliment in comparison to the next things that should be noted about Miller and her recent write-up. Because if she’s not stupid, then she’s a bold liar.

For example, she claims the illegal immigrant situation in the U.S. was ?orchestrated? by the ?treasonous Obama administration? ? but overlooks that Obama set new deportation records in every year of his administration. And the current circumstance involving Hispanic children? Apparently Miller doesn’t know that George W. Bush not only signed the bill that requires those children to be retained but that Bush himself requested Congress create and pass that bill, too. (And by the way, Miller, how Christian would it be to up and deport those children, who are being kept specifically because of present dangers they faced in their countries?)

Miller also claims that Obama traded ?terrorist enemy combatants for an Army deserter,? overlooking that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has actually returned to active duty, and which the military specifically disallows for anyone who attempts desertion (they’re automatically imprisoned, and can even be put to death for doing so during military conflict). She also overlooks that the same prisoner-swap is standard and historic ? and was even done over 100 times by George W. Bush. (And Miller, how Christian is it for anyone to issue such judgments to begin with ? especially when they’re proven wrong?)

Miller’s already catching flak for her silly statements, including pokes and jabs from Right Wing Watch. Instead of answering up, though, all she’s doing is complaining and denying. Note her recent Facebook statement:

These bizarre comments in today’s column are nothing new for Miller, who’s already established an anti-progress and ultra-homophobic presence in her very brief spiel as an online columnist. Supposedly representing the so-called Christian Right, she’s claimed liberals are satanic, gay marriage is a plot to kill Christians, gay rights originate directly from hell and will lead to communism, and that campaigns promoting equal rights are anti-Christian.

And how Christian are these sentiments? (And lies? And fingers pointing in the wrong direction in attempt to apply negative blame, and for things are actually rather Christian)? Not very.

Gina Smith is in dire need of counseling, and on faith, politics, and history. And as actual Christians, instead of hoping for her demise and even death (which she has no problem calling for in her tirades against others) we’ll pray for her to get it.
