On Monday, Lynne Cheney appeared at Politico’s “Playbook Lunch” with her husband, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and?their daughter Liz. The conversation was casual and largely uninteresting, but Lynne Cheney used the opportunity to take a cheap (and weak) stab at former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton.
She made an awkward segue into the topic of Clinton’s recent controversial remarks about the Clinton finances. Cheney claimed that while she herself was a little unsure about moving to Washington when her husband was offered the position of Vice President to Pres. George W. Bush,?the decision was made easier by the fact that the Cheney family wasn’t “dead broke.”
Oh yes, we know you have money, Lynne Cheney. And we know how you got it.
There was some laughter in the crowd, quickly eclipsed by protesters with shouts calling Dick Cheney a war criminal.
