Texas women are long-suffering. The fact is, Texans LOVE Texas. All Texans, including Texas women. I told my father that just last night: “I love Texas. Disappointing politics will never change that.” I’m an 8th generation Texan.

Texas has a rich and proud cultural heritage. We haven’t always been as ignorant as we are right now. Unfortunately, a decade of having an evangelical living in the governor’s mansion has brought us down to the level of ignorance exhibited in many other Southern states.
