OK we know this stupid woman didn’t really mean “let’s do this.” Do we also know that this kind of rhetoric, said even in jest, is dangerous? Absolutely.
Right-wing gun nut and founder of the Moms with Guns organization Kathy Perkins shared a photo of President Obama’s recent Texas visit in which he was standing at a lunch counter. The caption read “where is an assasin [sic] when you need one?” And yeah, she misspelled assassin. Is there some law that says that a RWNJ must have at least one misspelled word in every rant? Anyhow, here is the screengrab.

Equally disgusting is the way she presented the photo of the president side-by-side with Texas Gov. Rick Perry holding a gun. ?As whack as Perry is, I doubt he appreciates this association, honestly.
The post has been taken down. In fact, Perkins deleted?the entire Facebook page.?I guess someone clued her in that her comments could be misconstrued by the Secret Service. Fortunately for us, however, and unfortunately for her, Liberaland was able to grab a screenshot before Perkins removed the post.
The Moms with Guns?website is still up and this is the stated mission of the Moms with Guns organization:
?By Remaining Armed Moms of America We will NOT be Victims!!! Our Mission is to Normalize the Open Carrying Of FireArms(sic) in the State of Texas and Inspire Other States to Normalize the same. We are Law Abiding Citizens of this Great Republic of the United States of America from ALL walks of life.?
Added below, she asserts, ?We Will NO LONGER Tolerate Your Tyrannical Abuse!? possibly in reference with to Thomas Jefferson’s advice that ?The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.?
Naturally, the organization exists to sell products, it seems.
So “good guy with a gun” Kathy Perkins is running scared, eh? Her guns won’t protect her from this little incident. Does this mean that the whole “blood of patriots” thing is for other people, not her? I wonder if the Secret Service will be paying a visit to Casey Hindman, too?
