Chris Christie’s Shocking Statement About Vetoing Life-Saving Gun Bill (VIDEO)

The synopsis of bill A2006 is simple, ?Reduce maximum capacity of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds?. You would think that such a simple move to help save lives would be a no-brainer. But not for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Evidently, reducing the magazine capacity of a firearm from 15-rounds to 10 rounds was just too much. So after finally surfacing this week, this was Chris Christie’s pathetic excuse for the veto:

?And so, why ten? Why not six? Why not two, why not one, why not zero? Why not just ban guns completely?? He then added, ?I understand their argument, I have heard their argument, I don’t agree with their argument. We have a fundamental disagreement about the effectiveness of what they’re advocating for.?

You see, the disagreement in effectiveness that Mr. Christie is referring to is the basic common sense that less bullets kill less people. Also, as in the attack on Ariz. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a woman was able to help subdue the shooter as he tried to reload. Because he ran out of bullets.

Less bullets, less shots fired, more chances for escape, and a better chance at disarming a shooter because he has to reload more often; sounds like a step in the right direction. But with the whispers of Presidential Candidate in the air, simple measures like these are a no-no in the eyes of the NRA lobbyist run GOP.

Besides his thin veiled, gun lobbyist pleasing excuse of an explanation for the veto,?Chris?Christie showed even less class by declining to meet with a group of parents that lost children in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. His excuse for this?

?It would have been really hypocritical for me to sit down and act like I was listening to their arguments, again, when in fact I already signed the conditional veto.?

Maybe it was too late, as far as the veto being signed, Mr. Christie. But did it ever occur to you that these grieving yet strong parents would have appreciated an explanation? Or maybe just an outlet to express their thoughts for future common sense gun laws and restrictions?

Yes it did. Your own statements reflect that. Besides, why would you want to listen to, ??their arguments, again.?
