In this short but surreal video, icons from the childhoods of most Americans — Tony the Tiger and the Pillsbury Doughboy — come out against climate change deniers and the companies that worsen climate change. In fact, Tony and Doughy are specifically attacking their OWN companies, Kellogg and General Mills.

The unlikely duo is asking consumers to sign a petition?asking General Mills and Kellogg to “stop climate change from making people hungry.”

Dear Kellogg and General Mills,

Climate change is the single biggest threat to winning the fight against hunger ? yet as two of the biggest food and beverage companies in the world, you are making climate change worse.

Behind the Brands exposes the things that brands to do worsen climate change. From the website:

Right now farmers around the world are going hungry. Droughts, floods and other natural disasters caused by climate change are stopping them from growing enough food to feed their families and make a living.

The makers of Pringles and Green Giant don’t seem to care. They don’t fully disclose most of their emissions, let alone set targets to reduce them. And they do business with companies that worsen climate change by burning down forests and over-using polluting fertilisers.
