Megyn Kelly of Fox News is once again jacking with her job security as she continues to show common sense on the Iraq war issue. On June 18, she confronted Dick Cheney by saying ?time and time again, history has proven that you got it wrong as well in Iraq, sir.? Now, on Thursday, she cornered Iraq War architect and United Nations Ambassador John Bolton when he said that America’s entry into the conflict is “irrelevant to the circumstances we face now.”

Kelly became visibly agitated and suggested that the 2003 invasion AND the 2011 withdrawal were both causes for the deterioration of the situation in Iraq.

Here is Bolton’s response, from Talking Points Memo:

“Well, it’s very interesting, but the decision-maker has to look at the environment we have now.?on responded, saying it’s for that reason he is opposed to President Obama’s plan to send 300 military advisers to Iraq.

Megyn Kelly countered with:

“You know that a lot of people are out there tonight saying, ‘Well, weren’t you one of the people who was in favor of going into Iraq in the first place and Is that why you don’t want to discuss the past ten years and whether they were worth it?'” she asked.

What we’ve learned about Megyn Kelly is that when she uses the phrase “you know that a lot of people are out there tonight saying/asking,” that she’s actually asking a question that she wants an answer to and that she’s being passive aggressive.

Bolton, still in denial, said that he would be??happy to discuss the past 10 years and we can start 10 years before that if you want,? but that it’s?”not the question that America faces today.”

Is Megyn coming over to the light (the liberal way of thinking)? Naw. It’s refreshing to see that she can actually think independently on some issues, though. Bill O’Reilly recently said that she’s “not an ideologue.” As real journalist Rachel Maddow would say, “watch this space.”
