The Faith and Freedom Coalition describes itself to be a religion-based political organization in support of ?the simple virtues of faith, hard work, marriage, family, personal responsibility, and helping the least among us.? Crude decorations at its ongoing annual convention in Washington, D.C. depict quite the opposite theme, however.
On the late-morning of June 20, reporter Igor Bobic found men’s room urinals decorated with figures made to resemble President Obama, while he was covering the ?Road to Majority Conference? for Huffington Post. Using his smartphone, Bobic took a photo of the caricature image which features a large-eared, toothy-grinned president in the center of the bowl where urinal cakes are commonly found. ?Scene from a Faith & Freedom restroom,? Bobic tweeted.
The White House was quick to respond to the image, but with tongue-in-cheek. Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer replied:
Totally uncalled for: Those ears are huge.
Media has not been as pleasant in reception as the White House. As New York Magazine sarcastically described the find:
Nothing says God Bless America like peeing on the president.
On the bright side, the odd find might have been today’s high point for Bobic, whose other messages from his conference coverage include transcribed stutters from Herman Cain and pleas to other Twitterers for World Cup updates. Bobic promised to write something on today’s bathroom find, though, offering a ?hot expos?? he’s currently titled ?My Trip To The Men’s Room.?
