New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz is on a roll — a holy roll. At a March for Marriage event on Thursday, he encouraged participants to fight against same-sex marriage even if the Supreme Court completely legalizes it. He reassured them that the American people are behind them. That is an absolute lie, first of all — no matter which poll you look at, more than half of Americans support marriage equality.
But I digress, which is OK because that’s what Sen. Diaz did. From this, he pointed out that after all, didn’t Satan get into public schools? Yup!

Diaz said this year’s decision in Town of Greece v. Galloway proves that the cause to preserve government-sponsored prayer is not lost, and that anti-gay activists can win as well. He went on to falsely claim that neither voters nor lawmakers have voted to legalize same-sex marriage.
Good grief! My experience watching this was much like my experience of watching my first Pentecostal sermon as a teenager. Yikes.
