At Least 5 American Gun Nuts Shot Off Their Greatest Asset Since 2010 (VIDEO)

I say these are?their greatest assets because their brains clearly aren’t their greatest assets.

These five American “responsible gun owners” all have on thing in common (besides their gun-mania): they all, via one crazy accident or another, shot off their penises with their guns. Meet the NRA’s finest shining examples of responsible gun owners.

1. September 2012: Michael Smeriglio

The short version (pun totally intended):

An 18-year old Floridian man shot a bullet through his penis and left testicle while attempting to clean a gun that he had purchased at a party (really) the month prior.

2. July 2012: Tavares Colbert

This guy had some balls?(pun totally…..yeah):

Tavares Colbert, 36, was trying to sell a gun outside of a 7-Eleven in Oklahoma when he decided to test the gun, shooting himself in the testicles. Brainiac Colbert has a felony conviction and isn’t supposed to have a gun. He told the police “That’s why I was going to sell it.”

3. August 2011: Joshua Seto

Always bet on pink:

27-year old Seto shot himself with his girlfriend’s pink Taurus 380 Compact Pistol while he was walking into a store with her in Chandler, AZ.

Here’s a video describing that incident:

4. May 2010: Unidentified man

The moral here? Hire a handyman:

A man shopping alone at a Lowe’s hardware store in Lynwood had his gun tucked into his waistband (legal in Washington) and blew away his family jewels, possibly ensuring that he’ll never be shopping with his future progeny for home improvement materials. (I just totally made that up….the guy may still be able to have kids. I don’t know.)

5. March 2010: Unidentified teenager

A minor situation:

A 17-year old boy in Vallejo, California, walked into an emergency room after shooting himself in the groin. He was uncooperative. I wonder why.
