Aaron Aranza’s daughter was looking forward to her Quincea?era?and the dance she would share with a partner of her choosing. However, her excitement was crushed when her father acted out violently once he learned she had chosen her friend, a 15-year-old black boy, as her dancing partner.

When Aranza learned of his daughter’s choice, he told guests the Quincea?era?was cancelled and shoved the teenage boy telling him, ?I don’t care that you are a kid.? He also used a racial slur in his tirade.

He then beat his 14-year-old daughter with a belt and threatened to take her with him despite the girl living with her mother.

The Raw Story stated:

The suspect then allegedly took the girl into the residence, where he whipped her with a belt and threw her, injuring her arm. Aranza also reportedly threatened to take the girl to his house, even though she lives with her mother, then forced her back outside and dragged her across the front yard before leaving.

Aranza was arrested and is now charged with injury to a child.?ABC13 Eyewitness News reported that he was released after posting a $20,000 bond.

Racism exists in all cultures throughout the world, and this is a sickening example of this. No matter who is practicing racism, it is wrong every day and all day. Aranza took what should have been a special moment in his daughter’s life and ruined it along with insulting a young teenage boy. Hopefully, measures will be taken to protect the young girl involved from her father’s temper in the future.
