6 Things Every South Georgia Teenage Democrat Knows About Politics

I’ve lived in Waycross, Georgia my entire life — and I’m 14 years old. I used to consider myself a Republican, but talking to my Dad, who is a Democrat, made me see things differently.? My dad talked to me about?the fact that he was working for the railroad and the Democratic party supports labor unions and job negotiations. He also showed me?facts and statistics about George W. Bush’s presidency. My Dad educated me as to how workers came to have rights, a 40-hour work week, and things like that.

Here are the five things I’ve learned from being a teenage Democrat in a red state.

1. You can’t change anyone’s severely conservative position.

2. Republicans HATE sharing anything.

3. Most Georgians believe high gas prices are due to Obama.?Gas prices are driven by the market, not a president.

4. Republicans HATE negotiations, so they offer no solutions to?create more jobs for railroads, airports, and the deepwater ports in Savannah and Brunswick.

5. Republicans believe enjoying life with?someone of the same gender?as you is a crime.

6. If you want to vote in a Georgia election, you will rarely see any candidates running in the Democratic Primary, due to there being so many brainwashed Republicans who won’t listen to what any Democrat has to say.
