Houston Fire Dept. Makes Most Amazing Last-Second Rescue (VIDEO)

fire

On March 25, 2014, the Houston Texas Fire Department saved a construction worker from the top floor balcony of a burning building. Since the apartment complex was still under construction, most fire safety features like sprinkler systems and fire-retardant materials had note yet been installed.

YouTube user Karen Jones filmed this astonishing video from a building on the AIG campus near the scene of the fire. All of the construction workers were accounted for and no injuries have been reported. The fire department spent three hours getting the blaze under control.

This video clearly illustrates the heroism and harrowing conditions under which fire department rescuers work every day. What’s amazing is that from our view (Karen’s view), the many and the firemen appear to not be “sweating it.” Hats off to these incredible people.
