Michelle Obama’s ?Let’s Move? campaign celebrated its fourth anniversary on Feb. 24, and actor/comedian?Will Ferrell?joined the First Lady in a video promotion of the program that day.
And just like ?Let’s Move? can make?nutrition?fun, Ferrell’s appearance makes the celebrating video a lot of fun, too.
Depicting a panel study questioning a focus group of children, Mrs. Obama fields through Ferrell’s comical commentary and unhealthy dietary suggestions, stressing the goals of her program:
?It’s not about tricks. Getting a good body and staying healthy is about dedication and consistency and eating right.?
The fourth anniversary of the program coincides with news indicating its success.
Between 1980 and 2010,?childhood obesity soared, affecting one-third of American children and teenagers.
However, a?Feb. 26 report?from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that obesity rates of U.S. children aged 2-to-5 years ? those born during the Obama administration ? fell 43 percent in comparison to the rates of this same age group from 10 years ago.
