When Emily?Ratajkowski?(Twitter,?Facebook,?Instagram,?Website)?was recruited to be the scantily clad brunette woman in Robin Thicke’s infamous ?Blurred Lines? video, she likely didn’t realize how viral the video would become. I mean, it’s Robin Thicke, you know, so one would know it’s going to be much-viewed, but it became more than that. Thanks to Miley Cyrus, the song, and subsequently the video, became a page in the American Culture History Book (I just?made that book up, BTW?.don’t go looking for it).
The website ?Made Man? tracked?Ratajkowski down at the?AXE Black Chill Comic-Con?event. When asked if she’s receiving negative feedback because of her appearance in the video, she?responded?that ?for the most part people have been really respectful and just, like, psyched.?

?Yes. It was so hard! At first I literally took one step and my ankle gave out. But I think that was actually what started the whole idea of me laying down and moving my legs back and forth, because it was so hard to walk?

?I grew up going to a beach in Mallorca, Spain, where everybody was topless. Moms, aunts, beautiful women. And I think that’s just something that’s really beautiful and amazing. And guys, if you want to get her attention, she says the best way to accomplish that, if you’re at a pool party, is for you to do a ?fancy dive? or ?cannonball? into the pool. She’s also really really into superhero costumes. Made Man did, after all, track her down at a Comic-Con event. She says that if a man is confident enough to wear a skin-tight Batman costume, then he must be OK with himself, and we all know that confidence is sexy.
She’s not exactly a ?geek,? though. She’s partnering with AXE to launch their?Black Chill?line. Her previous work includes playing ?Gibby’s girlfriend on a couple of iCarly episodes. Who knew?

Whatever you think of Ratajkowski’s controversial role in the Robin Thicke Blurred Lines video ? and people on all sides of the political spectrum are bugged by it for one reason or another ? I think we can all agree on two things.
- Emily?Ratajkowski can wear what she wants and do what she wants.
- Confidence IS sexy.
