Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter Says U.S. Should Nuke Lying Muslims

Wednesday morning Republican congressman Duncan Hunter, Jr. (R-CA) appeared on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal to discuss U.S. relations with Iran.

Hunter is not a fan of the recent P5+1 agreement reached with the Islamic Republic last month over the Iranian nuclear program.

?I think that we should proceed with sanctions so that the Iranians know that this is not an American deal with them,? he said, ?this is a Kerry/Obama deal with them and that the rest of Congress is not behind them.?

When asked if war with Iran is inevitable Hunter responded with an explanation of his ideal U.S. response to a war with Iran.

?I think a ground war in Iran with American boots on the ground would be a horrible thing and I think people like to toss around the fact that we have to stop them in some way from gaining this nuclear capability,? Hunter continued, ?I don’t think it’s inevitable but I think if you have to hit Iran, you don’t put boots on the ground,?you do it with tactical nuclear devices and you set them back a decade or two or three.?

What’s most surprising is that Duncan Hunter – a veteran with two tours in the Middle-East – states that the U.S. experience in those countries has shaped his view.

His experience in the Middle-East also gave him insight. According to the congressman one such insights includes the Islamic religious practices of lying.

In response to a callers claim that Iranians practice a radical form of Islam in which its, ?honorable and heroic to successfully lie and deceive the infidels,? the caller when on to identify America as the infidels being referred too, and with all his experience in the Middle-East Hunter found nothing wrong with the callers assessment of the situation; even going so far as to broaden the generalization to apply across the board.

?In the Middle Eastern culture, it is looked upon with high regard to get the best deal possible no matter what it takes that includes lying,? Hunter said, ?Iran is the epitome of that, they have lied over and over. They are liars. The Iranian government lies all the time. So, why trust them now??

Given his assessment of the situation congressman Duncan Hunter seems to find it perfectly acceptable to use nuclear weapons on Iranians after all we can’t trust them because, ?They are liars.?
