Poor Limbaugh Whines – Forced To Swallow A Bitter Pill Called ‘Nuclear Option’ (Audio)

On November 21, 2013, things were not much different on the Rush Limbaugh Show. He once again denounced Democrats and accused President Obama of dictatorship. He lied, embellished, mislead, and evoked fear and hatred. The only difference is on Thursday, Limbaugh was clearly distressed in having to admit some party defeat. That bothers him, and it often causes him to step up his lies and ridiculous perpetual babble.

Here are some audio transcript excepts, again courtesy of?Media Matters. For more news and audio clips, please visit their site.

Limbaugh: Obama’s going to get every judge he wants. He’s going to get — if they want to add seats to a court — if they want to add five new liberal seats to the D.C. Circuit, for example, they can do it, there’s no stopping them, because the Republicans don’t have the votes.

_________

Limbaugh: Democrats abruptly changed the Senate’s balance of power by reducing from 60 to 51 the number of votes needed to end procedural roadblocks known as filibusters against all presidential nominees. Folks, this is part and parcel of why the Democrats are so hell-bent on winning the House in 2014. This — winning the House would give them total authoritarian non-challengeable control over the US government. Quite literally there would be no way to stop them. None whatsoever.

_________

Limbaugh: When the minority is Republicans, they don’t even exist. And they’re not due any respect, constitutional or otherwise. Constitutional or human. And so basically what this means, with a president like Obama, is there’s no stopping — he can nominate anybody for anything in the judiciary … cabinet, whatever. There’s no way he can be stopped.

__________

Limbaugh: Democrats have made it plain they’re not interested in democracy. And that really is what this means. Not interested in democracy at all. Total statist authoritarianism. And frankly, I’m being kind with that terminology.

In actuality, the ‘nuclear option’ evens the playing grounds, so to speak. Rather than the Senate needing 60 votes to confirm a judicial and executive nominee, now only 51 votes are needed which is still the majority. The change will give new meaning to filibusters. According to Z. Bryon Wolf at CNN:

“Everybody seems to have a different definition of what a filibuster is. In pop culture, filibustering brings to mind Jimmy Stewart in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” speaking for hours to block legislation with which he disagrees. Anymore the filibuster is an implied thing. When everybody realizes that if there aren’t 60 votes to limit debate, senators don’t generally spend much time debating at all. They just move on. Even when a senator mounts a long, all-night speech, the outcome is usually pre-ordained. Take Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican who spoke all night just before the recent government shutdown. Even before Cruz started speaking, senators had reached agreement to vote on a government funding bill the next day. His speech was not a filibuster; it was preaching to his political choir.”

Fairness is a bitter pill to swallow for Rush Limbaugh. He just can’t handle certain situations like the 2008/2012 presidential elections, the passing of ACA/Obamacare, the failed government shutdown, or now the ‘nuclear option.’ In the audio clip, he not only blasts Democrats, he blames Republicans for being surprised. Limbaugh likes to blame Republicans for ineptness when they ‘fail’ – as if he’s not one of them – as if he’s not an enormous part of the Republican problem. Maybe one day they’ll figure that out and denounce him.
