Liz Cheney Calls Obama A Liar, Claims Deliberate Plot For Single Payer

Lifelong resident of Wyoming Liz Cheney (I’m holding up a sarcasm sign here) appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace on Sunday. Here’s the gist: she followed in Daddy’s footsteps and called President Obama a liar. And worse.

When Wallace asked “Do you think President Obama was lying” when he said that people would be able to keep their existing insurance if they liked it:

Liz Cheney: Yes.?

Wallace asked for clarity and Cheney was happy to elaborate.

“I think there’s no way he could not have known the truth.”

The why? She said the media isn’t holding President Obama accountable and that this is all a ploy for him to??deliberately move us to a single?payer?system.?

Then she broke into the ridiculous song of “code of the west out in Wyoming,” which of course she knows so much about, having lived all of her life in Wyoming. Oh wait…she was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Virginia. OK well anyhow, none of that matters, Cheney said, because she is a?”4th generation Wyoming-ite” on her mom’s side and “3rd generation on my Dad’s.”

Here goal? To?”get the federal government under control.” Cuz the Cheneys have such a long history of doing that, eh? But?”having worked inside federal agencies, I know how to cut them,” she claimed. I’ll just bet she does.

When asked about former?family friend incumbent Sen. Mike Enzi and why she thinks she’s more qualified to represent Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, she said because Obamacare, which incidentally Enzi voted against, of course. Chris Wallace flat out asked her what is wrong with Enzi’s record, pointing out his A+ NRA rating, etc…Wallace also asked her what specifically she would have done differently. Her answer?

And that’s it? Wyoming should oust a senator who has a history that holds true to Republican values (however repugnant we think they may be) and at least shows some effort to work across the aisle on occasion? And they should oust him for a Cheney?

Wallace touched briefly on same-sex marriage and pointed out her previous record of supporting LGBT rights. She asserted that her new opinions don’t contradict her old ones. OK. But she moved very quickly back to trashing Sen. Enzi.

Fortunately for Wyoming — and all of us — Liz Cheney’s star, if there ever was one, is fading. Enzi’s leading her by 52 points in the most recent polls. Believe me, we have a dog in this fight.
