Shooting Outside Of Pittsburgh High School

Early this afternoon, gunshots were fired outside of a high school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident left three students injured and local SWAT and police searching for the gunman. So far, six people were taken into custody for questioning, but little is known about whether they are directly involved with the shooting.

The three teenagers were walking to their vehicle this afternoon in the Brashear High School parking lot when one student took a gunshot wound to the neck and shoulder, one was grazed in the head, and the other shot in the foot and arm. One student ran inside the school after being shot and the gunman ran into the woods.

All three victims were taken to local hospitals and one went into surgery this evening for the gunshot to the neck. None of the injuries are considered to be life threatening.

This incident lays claim to the fifth shooting in a string of incidents across the country including the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, Sparks Middle School Shooting, Los Angeles Airports mass shooting, and a shooting at a New Jersey Mall.

There is little information on the gunman or the motives behind this shooting. Stay tuned to Liberal America for updates on this recent event.
