The Truth Behind Tall Girl Shaming — Exposing The Myths

Tall Girl Problems

This article was written with the perspective of tall girl?Zsuzsi Czifrik,?a former?international model and wife of the author. With her help, we are exposing 10 situations that a tall girl gets herself into.

She stands at a proud 5′ 11″ without any footwear, and has gallivanted around runways and editorials from Milan, Morocco, Taiwan, Japan, back to London, and New York, and has bumped her head into many entrances ways along the way.

1) What’s the first awkward experience you can think of involving your height?

When I was 12, I went to a ballroom dancing lesson and they paired me with the tallest boy in the room; he was a whole head shorter than me. It was so embarrassing that I stumbled across the dance floor the entire time.

2) Were you always the tallest kid in your class?

Yes, including my teachers, family, friends, most strangers and frogs of course.

3) Have you ever not dated a guy, or passed on a sexual experience due to your height advantage?

To be honest, I don’t really think about dating guys shorter than me, not just because I’m turned off, but because the guy isn’t confident enough to take on a taller woman, which there is nothing more unattractive in a man who is anxious and hesitant.

4) Has your head ever been the victim of your above-average height combined with high heels?

Oh, sure, I think I’ve smacked into every kind of oddly shaped and low ceiling there is. In fact, I’ve probably bumped into more public transportation entrance ways around the world than anyone else I know, but that could be due to my extreme clumsiness.

5) Do you ever feel like you stand out in a crowd more often than not?

When I was in Asia, and went out to a club, I always thought somewhere very close was a step down to the dance floor because of the height difference. So, I was constantly searching for the stairs as I swept my feet hesitatingly across the dance floor like Johnny Depp in ?Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?.

6) Were you ever mistreated just because of your height?

Throughout my life I was constantly judged for my height and nicknamed ?the giraffe?. If someone judges you for a quality that you can do nothing about, then that demonstrates their weakness in character, and frankly, I don’t need these kinds of small minded people in my life.

7) Do you wear your high heels sparingly because you tend to loom over everyone?

Oh yes, and since I wear them so infrequently, when I’m ready to put them on, I’m wobbling all over the place, and if someone happens to knock into me, my petite girlfriends are nowhere to be found, and I hit the floor like a giant redwood tree falling in slow motion.

8) So you say you’re the tallest in your family, did they treat you different for it?

Between my three siblings and I, I was the tallest, so naturally my mother assigned chores accordingly. Dusting ceiling fans and windows just out of reach always made my cleaning list.

9) Can you think of a situation off-hand when wearing high heels?benefited?you?

In high heels, I stand at a proud 6.3?. When I go out, I can always spot out my girlfriends and vice-versa due to my temporary height advantage.

10) Can you think of a time when you regret wearing your heels in public?

When you’re out drunk with your girlfriends and one of them decides to take a picture of the night’s highlights, and its not until the next day you realize that you looked like a giant next to your petite friends with the picture of you smothered all over Facebook, which is always a wonderful conclusion to deal with.

Bonus: Wifey, be honest with me, how did it make you feel when I told you that you had to wear flats in our wedding?

Well, it made me think twice about marrying you!
