GOP Family Feud: Where Will They Stand On Chris Christie?

Well, we had a little pre-season exhibition election this past week amidst the Affordable Care Act rocky rollout. Now, the press is abuzz, covering the blowback from the rollout soap opera, and the story of this family feud in the Republican party, while getting some news time has already started to subside.

Cruz and Paul Have a Problem! Chris Christie.

There are some that feel this family feud is not big news, which is fair cause there has been inner turmoil within the Republican party that people are almost desensitized to it.

What’s different now is that we are in the organizing phase, and, moreover, the posturing phase for the upcoming 2014 and 2016 elections.

Whose Calling The Shots In The Republican Party?

The Tea Party, Libertarian, and Religious right of the party have in the recent times had a stronghold on the determination of the GOP. But, like any wolf in sheep’s clothing, what paraded itself as a grassroots, “We The People” movement, has borne unsavory fruit for the GOP with some of the worst recorded approval ratings since that survey’s inception.

If ?what we saw after ?Gov.Chris Christie ( R- NJ) won this past week is any indication, it’s not going to be nice. ?Both Ted Cruz ( R- TX) and Rand Paul (R- Ky) offering tight-jawed congrats with a message that Christie’s moderate posturing would not fly in the South.

Chris Christie, You Have A Problem! The South.

However, legitimate questions about Christie’s popularity outside his home state of New Jersey are in order. Also, the Democrats all but conceded the race to the now second term governor.

The Tea Party and religious zealots of the Republican party fabric were steaming mad at Christie for his pandering up to President Obama after Hurricane Sandy.

In fairness, this writer can see why. There seems to be a memory loss in the main stream press about how anti-government, anti-Obamacare, anti-Obama and pro-Romney Governor Christie was in those times before Sandy.

Some suggest Christie is pandering to the 1% Neo-Cons in the party.?The problem with the Northeast Republicans have and Western Republicans have is the South. The Southern Strategy. The gerrymandered at large voting districts. The successful regression in civil rights legislation. There no other word for it but radicalism Southern Style.

There is little doubt that these are far-reaching values being proposed by factions within the GOP. But what raises eyebrows is how far and how much money are all these factions in this coalition going to spend to seize power from the will of the people.

A group of people?driven by fear, paranoia, hatred, ignorance and bigotry.

How is Gov. Christie going to resonate with these voters is a valid point. Really, the larger question is will the ” Real Chris Christie please stand Up.” The anti say no obstructionist before Sandy, or the moderate alternative to these radicals being funded by the deep pockets.

So, we have a group of people holding extreme views who are so embolden that they are willing and have made it known so to hijack our government.

In an AP report,?CONSERVATIVE GROUPS SEEK CONTROL OF GOP AGENDA?.

Tea party allies like the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks and Heritage Action for America showed their might by insisting that the GOP embrace the government shutdown that hurt the nation’s economy and the party’s reputation.

Let there be no mistake about it ?Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Governor Christie himself will be ?posturing ?for these organizations’ ?dollars.

Essentially, the only thing a current Republican needs to do is compromise and work with President Obama to be considered a target by these groups.?

So, with the history of Gov. Christie and President Obama working together for the common good of New Jersey. Be reminded, New Jersey is a Barack Obama state and Chris Christie knew it then and he knows it now.

How will that association haunt Gov Christie? ?If he does run for president will he flip-flop across the country like Romney tried to do. How will Cruz fair for being the face of Government shutdown and gridlock? Is Rand Paul toast after being found not to be able to put to pen an original complete thought? One thing is for sure. There is a family feud within the GOP!
