George Zimmerman Intimidates Wife With Bullet-Riddled Target

George Zimmerman’s estranged wife said he left her a “subliminal message” by posting a bullet riddled target on the wall of her home.??Radar Online posted a photo?of the bullet-riddled target that Shellie Zimmerman alleges George left in her living room in late September. She says this occurred shortly after she asked him to get his things and move out.

Shellie Zimmerman 26, left her husband, George Zimmerman and filed for divorce less than two months after he was found not guilty of second degree murder in the killing of 17 -year old Travvon Martin. According to Huffington Post:

At the time, Shellie was in New York, appearing on the ‘Today’ show,” a source told Radar Online. The source says that when Shellie returned to Lake Mary, Fla., “she went over to the house and discovered the target with bullet holes in various quadrants.”

Ms. Zimmerman has been reluctant to say if her marriage to George Zimmerman has been violent or if she considers herself a victim of domestic violence. Studies have shown the most dangerous time for a domestic violence victim is when they leave. That said, behavior like pulling a gun?on his wife, as George Zimmerman is alleged to have done, and intimidation tactics like hanging a bullet hole filled target on the wall is right in line with abuser behavior.

A source close to Shellie Zimmerman said the message being sent wasn’t subliminal at all according to Huffington Post:

Shellie reportedly sent the photo to her lawyer, stating, “Look at the subliminal message George sent me.” As another source pointed out to Radar Online, “It’s really not that subliminal. A not-so subtle message, I think. It was clearly a threat.”

Since getting seperated Shellie said in an interview:

This person that I’m married to that I’m divorcing, I’ve kind of realized now that I don’t know him… And?I really don’t know what he’s capable of.
