Stalin’s Bunker

This bunker was built in 1939 during the Great Patriotic War in Moscow as a refuge for Stalin himself. When visiting, you receive a guided tour of the underground facilities followed by a three course meal from a small menu. The entire event costs upwards of a hundred dollars per person but is highly sought after by tourists and residents of Moscow.

The People’s Republik is a bar and restaurant in Central Square, Boston, Massachusetts. The bar’s theme is Soviet Socialism and is decorated in soviet and communist propaganda. The food is cheap and the bar is always full.

In the 1940’s this building, in New York City, was used as the local headquarter for the radical Ukrainian Socialist party. In the 90’s it was turned into a bar and restaurant decorated in propaganda and photos of the early Soviet leaders. Now the KGB Bar?is known for its gathering of struggling writers, and is a world renowned literary venue.

Though forced to change a week after opening, this Mumbai, India, restaurant caused a lot of stir in the community. With a huge portrait of Adolf Hitler in the lobby, and Nazi propaganda throughout, this political restaurant hit nerves all over India. It is now just known as, “The Cross,” and has no Nazi theme whatsoever.
