Heterosexual Awareness Month Is Back With An Outrageous Claim (VIDEO)

Yesterday I did a story about a horrible image that the Heterosexual Awareness Month (HAM) Facebook page had posted. When I checked for the image today, it had been removed. Great news, right? Well, it was short-lived. They posted a new image today in which they put both pictures side by side and claimed that they posted the original image. You can see for yourself:

Yes, they really expect you to believe that someone would show up at a protest or a rally with the sign that says they molest America’s children. This attempt by HAM to portray homosexuals as child molesters is nothing new and it is no more correct now than it was then.

Members of disliked minority groups are often stereotyped as representing a danger to the majority’s most vulnerable members. For example, Jews in the Middle Ages were accused of murdering Christian babies in ritual sacrifices. Black men in the United States were often lynched after being falsely accused of raping White women.

In a similar fashion, gay people have often been portrayed as a threat to children. Back in 1977, when Anita Bryant campaigned successfully to repeal a Dade County (FL) ordinance prohibiting anti-gay discrimination, she named her organization “Save Our Children,” and warned that “a particularly deviant-minded [gay] teacher could sexually molest children” (Source: UC Davis, Gregory Herek, Ph. D.)

The truth is that the vast majority of child molesters are not homosexual. That is what real research, not hate-based inflammatory language, tells us. But wait, if most child molesters are heterosexual then we need to have an all out campaign against heterosexuality! It is obviously dangerous to children. Right? Fair is fair.

I have already reported the new picture and will continue to watch the page in case they post more.
