Wanna See Michael Vick Get Beat Up For Animal Charities?

On the heels of yet another cancelled public appearance due to death threats, convicted dog fighter (read dog murderer) Michael Vick has been challenged to a charity pay per view fight by retired MMA fighter Gordon Shell. ?Where will all the proceeds go?

You guessed it – the proceeds will go to animal charities.

Convicted dogfighter and also football player Michael Vick recently had a scheduled autographing appearance at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in York, Pa., canceled after a voluminous online outcry. Gordon Shell, a mostly-retired MMA fighter from Detroit, is pretty thrilled about that. Shell spends his time raising money for and otherwise championing dogs, and he’s got a unique offer for Vick: He’ll leave Vick alone, if Vick will step into the ring with him, on Pay Per View, for a fight whose proceeds would raise money for animal rescue groups.

“We’re America. We don’t do an eye for an eye. But we can put him in a cage, regulated. And put on a nice show. We can generate so much money that can help out the abused animals,” he told the Huffington Post. It’s unlikely Vick will consent to Shell’s request, but Shell is also selling t-shirts that say “Fight Me Mike Vick!” to benefit the Michigan Humane Society.”

Now, if you’re one of the few people who doesn’t know who Michael Vick is, or what he’s done to draw so much hatred against him then let’s take a little walk down memory lane via Wikipedia shall we?

“In July 2007, Vick and three other men were charged by federal authorities with?felony?charges of operating an unlawful?interstatedog fighting?venture known as ?Bad Newz Kennels.? Vick was accused of financing the operation, directly participating in dog fights and executions, and personally handling thousands of dollars in related?gambling?activities. Federal prosecutors indicated they intended to proceed under the powerful provisions of the?Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act?(RICO), a?United States federal law?that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil?cause of action?for acts performed as part of an ongoing?criminal organization.”

Michael Vick, who after spending 18 months in jail and another two months under house confinement, is the same guy who said he “wouldn’t change a thing” about his life. ?Nope, he wouldn’t even want to go back in time and not fight hundreds of dogs to theirs deaths, including the family dog.

So will Michael Vick step into an MMA ring and fight Gordon Shell to raise money for animal charities? ?Just ask all the dogs he kept at “Bad Newz Kennels” … oh that’s right, you can’t, because most of them are dead.
